Walking along an enchanted path at the end of another long, rushed day, all she could think about was the endless “list” of tasks that she needed to get done at work, and at home, and then there were the people she needed to take care of, and…, and…, and the thoughts swirled around her mind like a tropical storm developing over the ocean.
Reaching the edge of the stream, she stared into the flowing water. Suddenly, her relentless thoughts stopped and she felt a moment of peace and something else, which felt foreign: compassion…for herself.
She realized that exhausted and overwhelmed had become her “normal” and that she had lost her connection to beauty. She yearned to create something that moved her soul.
That day she decided to change everything and live with free-spirited, authentic, Wild Beauty. Moment by moment, her devotion to beauty brought a certain kind of ease, grace, and simplicity to her life.
This new consciousness of beauty drew her attention to the elegance of her thoughts, words, and movements. She began to appreciate the quality of her world through her senses and to feel a rooted connection to nature’s cycles. Bathing in the elegance within and all around her, she fell deeply in love with her life…and with all of life.
It felt fabulous and fun, but she knew that the REAL reason for this was so she could contribute in a new way that created more elegance without draining her, not only in her interactions with friends and family, but through her work…especially through her work.
Inspired to go beyond the ordinary and to activate her inner light, every day she simply draws a deep breath, feels her heart and mind spiral open, and allows grace to pour from them into everything she does and onto everyone who has forgotten their own elegance…Her world becomes more luminous.
Who reminds you of your elegance?
Take a deep breath, let elegance find you, and pour it onto at least one person and activity today. Think simple.
