“At the still point of the turning world… Neither from nor towards; at the still point, there the dance is.” ~T. S. Eliot
Your mind is like a snow globe. It may feel exciting to shake it up and watch the pretty little whirling bits of sparkly pieces fly around, but only when you set it down and allow the distractions to settle can you clearly see the picture inside.
That place of stillness and clarity is where the dance begins. You see what is true for you and create from a solid foundation rather than disarray and confusion.
From here, you accept that anything new, innovative, creative, that pushes your comfort zone, may feel a little chaotic and awkward at first.
It’s great to “not know”, to look for the possibilities, and explore the mystery. But, get grounded where you are first; then you can shake the globe without getting stressed out.
Here’s how to get quick clarity:
1. Become aware. Notice when you feel stressed, out of balance, upset, angry, or confused.
2. Put down the snow globe. Stop the train of thought that is distracting you from the “inner picture”.
3. Breathe. Start by filing your belly, then your chest, and all the way up into your collarbones…exhale slowly. Take 3 to 5 more deep breaths. You’ll stimulate the “relaxation response” in your brain and the whirling bits will start to settle.
Even if you don’t feel like you have 20 or 30 minutes every day to sit, breathe, and clear your mind (you do, by the way), it takes less than a minute to consciously respond rather than carelessly react in any moment.
Try it! You’ll be a cooler person and you’ll be free to dance!

Check Out This SUPER Cool Game and Support Wildlife Education
My very good friend, Chris Durrant, has invented another great game for kids to learn about their environment and animals. Her company, Animal Matters, has created a kickstarter campaign to get the game into the hands of kids and schools as soon as possible. Even if you have $2 to contribute, it will be greatly appreciated. It is a GREAT cause!
Click here to Support Fins and Flippers and watch Chris’ video about the game. She filmed it on my dining room table 🙂

Ron and I had a wonderful time in Greece and Turkey, but it is good to be home. The hills are still green and the garden is blooming…perfect inspiration for me to finish the Awaken the Champion Within book and coaching course.
Life is good and it keeps getting better!
Have a beautiful day.
Love,
Tam
